What people are saying:

“One of the best weekends of my life! And I have had a lot of weekends to compare it to. I experienced the best of food, wine, sport, health, nature and most of all, people. You can look at all the gorgeous pictures but to really understand and appreciate it you need to be there. It’s one of those things that after going you immediately start planning for the next one and thinking of who you want to tell about it so they can come along and enjoy it too. I went in the spring 2014 and want to go again in 2015 and hope to bring my parents as well because I dont see age as an issue. The GLW is for anyone who wants to share in the good things of life.” Karen, Barcelona

“On arrival, very impressed with the location, buildings, and the quality of the accomodation. As other guests arrived we were quickly introduced and I immediately felt welcome. As the catering arrangements were explained, I could appreciate the amount of detail the team had gone into to make sure everyone had a good time, I certainly did.

The highlight of Saturday was the mushroom picking “supervised by a local” I never realised so many mushrooms existed, some of course deadly. Sunday a 6km walk traversing the hills/mountains around us was organised and this was also my first introduction to Nordic Pole walking, which I have since taken up seriously.

To summarise; the exercise regime I enjoyed immensely. Splendid Company, and I look forward to the next occasion when I hope to meet some of these people again” Keith Taylor, UK, 5*Campsite owner.

“From the momento we were welcomed by Nunu on Friday until we said goodbye on Sunday, I felt we were amongst like-minded people out for a good physical “have a fantastic time and get a bit fitter” weekend. Friday we were strangers and on Sunday we left as Friends.

The walking, the mushroom hunting, and the classes – everything was an adventure. For a “non Athletic” like me there were no mountains to climb, just the knowledge that I felt fitter on Sunday than I did on Friday, and it was all done so effortlessly with no hardships. Good food, good wine, good company all in the beautiful catalán countryside. Who could want more? I will certainly do it again. Jenny Taylor (UK) 67 years old – but you dont have to be! Campsite owner.

I enjoyed The Good Life Weekend so much the first time, I was ready to sign up for the next one as I left! I have been in The Good Life house late spring and autumn and both times are spectacular. I adore the peaceful beauty that surrounds you there, both inside and outside the house. I live a hectic “stressy” life in Barcelona, busy with work and children in a very noisy part of town. The GLW is the complete opposite to my everyday life which really allowed me to disconnect and relax. The tranquility and beauty of the countryside leaves me with months of gorgeous memories that I can re-enjoy when I tell people about the wonderful weekend I have been part of.

The Food and wine add another exeptionally special aspect to the experience. The cheese and wine event allows everyone to relax and get to know each other. And there is no stinting, the wines flow freely! Breakfasts are indulgently healthy, with delicious smoothies that I would never get round to making at home. The walks and exercise clases were great fun and helped to “correct” the hangover!

My husband who doesn’t “do” physical activity but does appreciate good food and wine, also found he had a marvellous time with no obligation to take part, just undemanding company when he wanted it. I thoroughly recommend it!” Doina Taylor, Pilates Instructor and busy Mum of two boys.

“I loved what I hope will be the first of many Good Life weekends. The pilates, country walks and massage were a great counterpoint to the delicious wines, cheeses and     Argentinian BBQ. Zoe, Nunu, Dany and Jordi were great hosts, the house we stayed in was     charming, and the surrounding countryside was gorgeous. Can’t wait to do it again!” – Jill, 45,Translator, Barcelona

“I really enjoyed my Good Life experience, beautiful setting, loved the combination of outdoor exercise mixed with good wholesome food and amazing wines!! I really enjoyed the wine and cheese reception on the first evening, great way to chat to everyone and get to know them a little. I thought it was a really unique weekend, absolutely love the concept, my kind of retreat!” – Pam Cunningham, 32, Barcelona

“The Good Life is a total body promise which deals with all 5 senses in just one weekend…the boxing and pilates wake up the appetite for the fabulous food and wine. The opportunity to have a massage with Nunu was a high point for me. She cares for you and really relaxes you allowing you to harmonise and connect with everything and everyone around you. All in all it’s a weekend of positive and different experiences, both healthy and relaxing.” – Maria Eugenia, Banking, Barcelona

“Oh, the entraña…I´m still dreaming about the entraña. Were there salads and vegetables? I didn’t notice… ;-)” – Jill Ruzich, Barcelona

“I had such a good time at the Good Life weekend. I didn’t know anybody when I arrived, but I felt immediately welcome, and I think what made the whole thing so special was that I   felt part of the gang, and the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly. I don’t know if I can choose one thing I liked more than anything else – it was a combination of all the little things put together over the weekend. One thing at a time: the food was homemade, healthy and delicious. And plentiful! The exercise was a good mix of technique and hard work (enough to justify eating loads, luckily); the house was fantastically comfortable and warm, with a charm straight out of a mountain fairy tale. Even the bit of rain didn’t spoil anything. And then the little extra touches, like the massage and the wine and cheese tasting, were fantastic. Everything was arranged to spoil us as much as possible. But it was more like being on holiday with a group of friends than an organised thing, so there was no pressure to all take part – some people didn’t do the boxing class, some of us went for a walk after lunch; some stayed up with a G&T, others had an early night. To me it also stood out that everything was done to high standards and we were looked after with lots of care – there was no disappointing feeling that you often get from a hotel or restaurant where you’re just another customer and the initial shine turns out to be superficial. This is definitely what I’d call the Good Life. Count me in for the next one!”           – Suky Taylor, Translator and Writer Barcelona
