The Vital Touch has just returned from a 6-day walk on Camino de Santiago – from Roncessvalles to Logrono – walking about 120km. It was an adventure through mountains, woods, rainbows, open landscapes, fields, roads, village’s and towns!  A walking meditation that I recommend everyone to do once in their life. Walking a country you really SEE and experience a country and it’s people! It’s beauty, also downfalls and changes. You feel a countries  ups and downs.

Walking meditation is a popular Buddhist meditation which combines the senses of touch, sound and sight. Walking in a slow motion requires focus and concentration. Synchronising your breathing and mantra repetitions with your steps.

1.Stand tall with your mala held in front of you at heart level. Very slowly raice one foot and step forward on to it, bending your back knee. As you step forward, keep your weight distributed evenly between both feet.

2. Take your whole weight on to your front foot, lifting your back foot and standing as tall as you can. Gaze straight ahead all the time. Repeat the movements, saying your mantra with each step.
